Clearance Level: Top Secret (Ability to meet and maintain requirements for SCI)
Summary/Description:
ALEX-Alternative Experts (ALEX) is hiring Supervisors to support a large classified and unclassified mail operation that includes inbound and outbound letter and bulk mail processing, hazardous material handling, and large freight processing.
Required Skills, Qualifications, and Certifications:
- Leading, managing, and supervising a team of Clerks.
- Setting work priorities and ensuring work achieves performance expectations.
- Providing regular operational feedback, management meetings, status updates, attendance reports, training records, and other production activity reports to the Site Manager.
- Assisting in training personnel on duties and tasks.
- Ensuring the proper dispatch of all incoming and outgoing pouch shipments to include weekly schedules for deliveries and pick-ups with customers and freight forwarding companies.
- Communicating with Site Manager regarding daily events and operational concerns to include staffing.
- Ability to lift 70 lbs.
- Top Secret clearance with ability to meet and maintain requirements for SCI.
- Ability to be cross trained to support other functional areas as needed.
Preferred Skills, Qualifications, and Certifications:
- High School Diploma with 3+ years of experience working in a team lead or supervisory role.
- Relevant experience may be substituted for a degree/diploma.
- Experience with mail operations and/or mail sorting/processing equipment.
- Experience working on a program with Acceptable Quality Levels (AQLs) of performance metrics such as minimum acceptable quality targets and an incentive/disincentive structure. with preferred skills and qualifications.
