Advocate Health Hiring for Benefits Communication Specialist Senior at Allenton, WI  Full Time

Designs and develops all aspects of benefit communications including assisting in the preparation of communication materials (in all forms), creating and driving process improvements, developing and maintaining benefits calendar and maintaining relationships with internal partners, external partners and all stakeholders. Manages and works within assigned benefits communication budget.

Major Responsibilities:

• Manages production of all Benefits Communications including but not limited to: site training, mailings, promotion as well as New Hire Materials & Ongoing Enrollment Materials.
• Manages all Benefits Webpage Updates, including layout, design, and final review of content.
• Develops and maintains relationships with external vendors who are responsible for designing, delivering or communicating Advocate Aurora’s employee benefit plans. This may include vendor shopping, creating vendor scorecards and benchmarking and development of communication and material strategies.
• Chairs cross functional teams with Human Resources, Public Affairs, IT & Printing Services to ensure communications in multiple venues i.e., broadcast, center square, momentum, electronic newsletters. Generates and explores options for varying communication methods based on continually expanding electronic mediums.
• Organizes development, editing, and logistics of benefit materials, communications and outreach needed. Leads and consults on key benefit initiatives, such as the coordination of the review, updating, and distribution of all benefit plan documents, creation of benefit communication campaigns, process improvement initiatives, etc. Partners with benefits team, customers and stakeholders.
• Manages content/branding of communication through partnership with HR Leadership, Stakeholders, Public Affairs and the Media Center to ensure effective communications are posted, promoted and measured.
• Responsible for overall branding alignment of benefit communications and vehicles. Develops and tracks metrics to ensure benefit communications are reaching the intended audience and delivering the message effectively.
• Authors content and messaging in support of benefits education. Prepares various communication materials such as newsletters, slide shows, web site content and other written forms of associate communication to increase the knowledge of or define new benefit plans.
• Acts as key resource to other departments and colleagues regarding benefit matters, communication best practices and market landscape.

Education/Experience Required:

• Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field. Experience Required: Typically requires 5 years of experience in benefits education, marketing, or advertising.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills including the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and present professionally in front of (and to) various audiences. Proficient in Excel, Word and Windows programs and graphic software. General HR knowledge preferred. Demonstrated ability to successfully work independently (with minimal direction) and collaboratively. Strong and committed focus on customer service and data analytics. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make recommendations to drive enhancements and process improvements. Strong attention to details, accuracy and quality principles. Excellent organizational, flexibility and time management skills; being able to manage to various projects and deadlines simultaneously. Must be professional, with the ability to comfortably work with multiple independent requests and stakeholders.
