As a Senior Continuous Improvement Specialist in ABB’s HR Shared Services organization, you will be establishing and maintaining a continuous improvement culture in ABB, utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodology, and creating transparency to monitor progress. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high quality support for U.S (United States) and P.R (Puerto Rico) compensation and benefit strategy and program delivery to employees, managers and human resources. Reviews and optimizes employee benefit practices by benchmarking best practices, researching industry and employment trends, tracking legislation and estimating impact. Accountable for benefit costing and budget review with finance and other stakeholders. Manage vendor invoicing and Purchase Order (PO) process. Define, implement and continuously optimize benefit processes and procedures within all benefit areas. Manage relationship and monitor delivery of service against Key Performance Indicator (KPI’s) with benefit carriers. Partner with HR to understand current benefit issues and supports the resolution through existing benefit practices, processes or policies. Recommend, develop and assist in implementation of special programs in area of functional specialty. Recommend changes to Human Resources (HR) system functionality and support systems implementation/upgrade in area of functional responsibility. Consult with internal customers and vendors to ensure Tier 2,3 and escalated benefit cases are resolved timely, accurately and efficiently. Analyze data, research files and conduct internal and external investigations to determine eligibility for benefits. Recommend enhancements and simplification of existing processes and procedures based on feedback and experience. Lead process improvement activities and participate in quality control and audit activities. Communicate information regarding benefit policies and standards to internal customers as needed. Maintain a high level of data quality and accuracy in the HR systems. Monitor compliance, participation, utilization rates and trends on a regular basis. Provide ongoing support, training and materials to the HR Contact Center to assist in addressing Tier 1 benefit inquiries. Oversee knowledge capture, knowledge transfer and parallel support for HR Contact Center. Provide support for implementation of new benefit programs, plans, processes and/or carriers. Stay current on changing Federal and State regulations and legislation that may affect employee benefits. Support key projects through communications, process development, system testing and interface mapping. Coordinate with benefits team to provide response to administrative benefit appeals. Ability to drive results amidst challenging business environment and work autonomously, as well as part of a team.
