Position: Drafter I
Location: Midland, MI
Start Date: February, 2023
Position Summary:
CAD Drafter with minimum of 1 to 4 years’ experience or entry level with a 2 year degree in drafting/design technology. This should include experience with standard CAD applications, including AutoCad products and MicroStation. Must be capable of working independently with minimal supervision while providing accurate and effective results.
Position Responsibilities:
Perform various drawing revisions on diverse systems as dictated by the needs of our Clients.
Effectively interact with multi-discipline Engineering teams to review and update drawings as needed.
Develop / modify technical drawings (Vessel, pump, HE, piping models, Isometrics, P&ID) at the direction of Senior Designers or Engineering staff.
Produce clear and organized output, conforming to Client and/or Industry Standards.
Uses time efficiently.
Occasional local and overnight travel my be required.
Accountable for producing work that is accurate, timely, and complete.
Accurate accounting of time and worked performed for client billing.
Follow all client safety rules and regulations while on client site.
Coordinate with Lead Engineers, Project Managers and Client counter parts to ensure safe and timely project execution.
Position Qualifications:
2 year degree from drafting/design program or 1-4 years of relevant drafting experience.
Able to work on multiple projects to meet engineering and project timing.
Willing to work over 40 hours to meet client deadlines.
Familiar with interpretation and application of Codes and Standards such as ASME, API, and NFP.
Self-starter with ability to work independently and achieve results.
Experience with AutoCad and MicroStation preferred.
Education Requirements:
High School diploma with 1-4 years relevant experience or a 2 year degree from a drafting/design program.
Top 3 Requirements for Role:
Experience with drafting/design software, chemical industry experience preferred.
Experience with isometrics, equipment layouts, P&ID’s preferred.
Skilled in the use of Excel, word and other computer software used in engineering application.
