Call Center Agent / Customer Service Representative
Job Summary:
We are seeking a charismatic Call Center Agent / Customer Service Representative / Executive Assistant to join our team at the fastest-growing accounting firm in the desert! You will be responsible for maintaining and expanding the company’s book of business, by contacting clients who have previously filed tax returns with us as well as gathering and contacting new leads. Your role will be primarily focused on sales, secondarily on customer service, and thirdly on office work as an executive assistant during down time.
Responsibilities:
· Be available full-time during regular business hours to handle inbound client phone calls regarding our tax preparation services.
· Resolve client inquiries and complaints whenever possible, only referring to your supervisor as needed. Do not give tax advice.
· Make 30+ outbound calls per hour during tax season to present and sell tax preparation services to existing and prospective clients.
· Be familiar with all the tax preparation and related services offered, as well as payment plans available based on clients’ needs.
· Comply with all tax and accounting industry standards, laws, and regulations.
· Maintain accurate and organized databases of client information in the company’s systems, and keep these systems updated at all times.
· Track and identify areas of improvement in the company’s marketing, sales, and customer service.
· Meet designated sales quotas by customizing marketing strategies to sell tax preparation services to individuals and small businesses.
· Perform other duties as requested by your supervisor, which may include but are not limited to office work such as filing documents, filling out forms, running errands, and organizing workspaces.
Qualifications:
· Availability: Monday – Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and the occasional Saturday.
· Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and basic computer skills are required.
· Familiarity with any tax preparation or bookkeeping software is a plus.
· Experience in sales or customer service, preferably telemarketing, is required.
· Experience in tax preparation, accounting, insurance, or other related fields is helpful.
· A professional manner and the ability to build rapport with clients is essential.
· Strong negotiation skills are a must.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
· Ability to prioritize and multitask is a must.
· A positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential.
· The ability to learn and adapt quickly will help you move up in the company.
Schedule:
· Monday – Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and the occasional weekend.
Compensation:
· $15 to $19 per hour depending on experience
