Director of HR + Administration
Shalom Farms is seeking a Director of HR + Administration to lead the human resources and admin functions of the organization as well as provide finance support to the external CFO, ensuring that the organization is performing efficiently and effectively. This is a full time position reporting to the Executive Director. The Director of HR and Administration is a member of the leadership team.
The Director of HR + Administration should have a passion for details and organization, understanding how critical their role is to the overall success of Shalom Farms’ mission. They should have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations and will possess strong written and verbal communication skills. The ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities is important. The HR + Administration must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.

Key Areas of Responsibility
Human Resources (50%)
Plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate human resources policies and activities ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organizations mission and talent strategy
Operations and Administration (30%)
Serves as point person for all administrative functions of the organization including proper registrations, licenses, insurance coverage, supply management, retreats and travel logistics, IT, office space and lease issues, all utility and vendor needs including phone, internet, and software vendors.
Finance (20%)
Manage day-to-day bookkeeping including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and credit card reconciliation. Serve as the liaison to the external CFO which will provide quarterly reporting, bank reconciliation and cash flow monitoring, finance committee participation, budget preparation and audit oversight.

This is a full time, exempt position based in Richmond, VA, with the potential for a hybrid work schedule. The position includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid holidays and generous PTO. The starting salary range is $65,000 – $70,000/year.
