How do you fit in?

As an IT Support Specialist you are primarily responsible for providing support to users for various technology solutions utilized by the company. This role will troubleshoot hardware/technical issues, assist users with IT support; including ERP support, hardware and software issues, and general escalations as needed and appropriate. This role will collaborate with the infrastructure support team on any hardware issues and assist with enterprise IT issues as needed. The IT Support Specialist will work with network equipment and systems to undertake analysis, diagnosis and resolution. This may range from advanced to more basic technical issues, including receiving and logging end user and issues, troubleshooting of IT related problems from software to hardware, switches, firewalls, laptops, PCs, phones, printers and escalating unresolved issues.

Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provide prompt technical support to end users. This includes supporting the business with hardware and technical application issues as a dedicated technical specialist.
• Guide and train Help Desk Tier 1 associates; track, assist and report issues escalated from Help Desk Tier 1.
• Coordinate internal and external technical resources and maintain communications throughout the process.
• Document processes, configurations, resolutions steps, and user training guidelines.
• Support the implementation of new application platforms.
• Test and validate application upgrades, service packs, hot-fixes, enhancements, or configuration changes.
• Investigate and propose solutions for security related issues and maintaining the safety and integrity of infrastructure and technologies (malware, antivirus, email scams, phishing attacks, etc.).
• Track and maintain hardware inventory.
• Prepare reports as requested which may include hardware inventory, licensing information, and ticket summaries.
• Coordinates hardware maintenance with business unit leaders and outside vendors as needed.
• Provide on call support being a part of rotation with Tier II and III teams, which may include night and weekend hours.
• Participate in continuing education opportunities to maintain knowledge of new products, methods, and infrastructure solutions.

• Associate degree preferred in a technology field or similar combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in providing technical and application support to local and geographically dispersed members of the team.
• Knowledge of multiple technology disciplines and the ability to troubleshoot and support.
• Ability to quickly learn and understand enterprise application platforms.
• Outstanding client management skills and the ability to work with internal customers on their technical needs.
• Must be able to translate technical requirements to non-technical personnel.
• Excellent communication skills on both technical and non-technical contexts.
• Must be able to communicate and troubleshoot for a geographically dispersed team.
