Kimberly Allen Bookkeeping, LLC is a rapidly growing bookkeeping firm serving small businesses and we are looking to add to our team. We are looking to hire a remote worker with accounting and management experience that has a passion to learn and grow with our firm.

Accountant and management responsibilities:

• Maintains and balances financial information while compiling with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions.
• Develops system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; defining bookkeeping policies and procedures.
• Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
• Payroll support: Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions for multi-state payroll processing.
• Supervises staff accountants and clerical staff to assure that the department accomplishes accounting objectives by assigning, managing, and mentoring employees.
• Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Minimum five years’ experience in accounting/finance, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
• Experience with financial reporting requirements

The position is a W-2 position and will be an estimated 10-15 hours per week to start with a high potential for additional hours. Pay depends on experience.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
