PwC US Tax LLP Looking for Manager, State and Local Tax (Multiple Positions) at New York, NY Full Time
Manager, State and Local Tax (Multiple Positions), PwC US Tax LLP, New York, NY. Provide state and local tax advice and support to clients. Assist companies with their tax planning and accounting needs by recommending solutions that support their business objectives and ensuring their filing positions are consistent with the states’ applicable tax laws and rules. Supervise staff, monitor workloads and provide feedback in a timely manner. Support client with business issues related to business restructuring, adoption of new tax laws, and communicating local tax developments. Employ knowledge of alternative fee arrangements, including the use of pricing tools, to provide a point of view on pricing strategies. Supervise and coach staff.
40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. $145,000/yr.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Business Administration, Tax, Law, or a related field, plus 5 years of post-bachelor’s, progressive related work experience.
In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Business Administration, Tax, Law, or a related field, plus 3 years of related work experience.
Certification(s) required: CPA or foreign equivalent, Enrolled Agent, or a Member of the Bar.
Must have at least one year of experience with each of the following:
– Understanding of State and local tax laws including multi-state income tax planning, preparing returns, income tax accounting, controversies, restructuring, due diligence and audit defense;
– Utilizing extensive level technical skills with the following: preparation of partnership tax forms, including K-1s, FAS 109, FIN 48, tax controversy and tax structuring;
– Providing advice to clients on global VAT strategies and technical VAT taxation issues, cross-border operations structuring and restructuring, outbound investments, M&A, due diligence, logics and supply chain transformation, recovery of VAT taxes, audit defense, tax automation and ERP systems, and
– Working with large, complex data sets and leveraging data visualization tools to build models and provide insights to clients.
80% telecommuting permitted. Must be able to commute to the designated local office.
Travel requirement(s): Domestic and/or international travel up to 80% required.
