Primary Responsibilities:
It is the primary responsibility of the Director of Floral Operations to manage and direct all aspects of floral design including visual displays, seasonal decor, retail, weddings, and events. All duties are to be preformed in accordance with departmental, property and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) policies, practices, procedures, and guidelines.
Directs planning and design of new initiatives and projects for the Floral Design division across all properties.
Develop and lead company and departmental strategic planning and decision-making for the Floral division; provide strategic insight toward and makes recommendations for short-term and long-term capital improvements.
Research latest developments and emerging trends within the industry to elevate creative output and ensure work remains best-in-class.
Demonstrates deep, expert-level craft knowledge and proficiency in all applicable creative mediums; lead the conceptualization and ideation process for original, compelling ideas that resonate with target audience.
Prepare, implement, and monitor overall budget and financial statements to include staffing, labor, supplies, revenues, and profitability with appropriate tracking methods.
Develop and maintain third party service contracts relative to areas of responsibility; review and monitor, re-negotiate current vendor contracts to reduce costs.
Lead the design, specification, layout, and procurement of materials for both new and existing projects across properties; this includes development of multi-use props, as well as conducting regular site inspections and managing travel logistics.
Manage human resources responsibilities to include creating a work environment that promotes teamwork and fosters a culture of positivity in a fast-paced environment.
Provide performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction; ensure quality hiring, training and succession planning processes that encompass the company’s diversity commitment.
Foster and maintain productive and collaborative partnerships with stakeholders, property leadership, clients, and team members to ensure positive and mutually beneficial relationships are cultivated and sustained.
Coach and mentor team members to support their professional growth, address challenges, and enhance department and personal performance; implement coaching, training and development opportunities.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
