$19.94 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center/Viera/Travels Countywide. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Performs entry-level technical work in the maintenance of a comprehensive employee benefits program comprised of multiple types of group health and life insurance plans. Work includes providing customer service assistance to insured individuals, answering a large volume of telephone calls, inputting plan information into databases and spreadsheets, and preparing reports of insurance-related activities and transactions.
REQUIREMENTS: Three (3) years of progressively responsible technical or professional experience in customer service, which includes one (1) year in an employee benefits environment and experience working with an online benefits enrollment system. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. Experience in local government insurance programs is preferred. SAP experience is preferred. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida Driver’s license and maintain said license during the term of employment. Must successfully complete, within fifteen (15) months of employment the Brevard County Presentation Skills class. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
