Your Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for complex operational assignments in a global, cross-divisional, and external facing context.
• Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for specific processes, systems/tools for the department.
• Be the “go to” person to support Procure-2-Pay (P2P), Ariba Supplier Lifecycle Performance (SLP) and Master Data Governance-Suppliers (MDG-S) to provide basic training, open tickets to support NS.
• Independently maintain and provide training for information channels. Be the “go-to” person for MS Teams, SharePoint, Confluence, Timecard reports, Novartis social media channels and other approved software / platforms.
• Coordinate, collate, edit PowerPoint slides to support meetings – strategic, scientific and departmental, e.g., Town Hall, Research Board Meetings, Seminars, etc.
• Support NS departmental global group communications, e.g., monthly people news, organizational announcements, project and portfolio announcements.
• Participate in cross-departmental operational projects with global impact.
• Provide general administrative support in collaboration with the departmental Executive Administrative Assistant: Deal with complex administrative and organizational assignments independently and take care of general administrative tasks.

Role Requirements
Minimum requirements:
• B.S. degree in a scientific discipline – neuroscience, in vivo pharmacology, biochemistry, or cellular pharmacology is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience of highly successful lab work in a large matrixed company, preferably in a working in a drug discovery environment.
• Advanced knowledge of Word, Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Interest in learning financial systems, budget planning and management, expense reconciliation, vendor contract negotiations, and business data analysis
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and communication skills (both verbal and written).
Desired Qualifications:
• 1+ year as a lab manager

Novartis Compensation and Benefit Summary: The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $102,000 – $153,000/year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/23 through 12/31/23, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
