SUMMARY:
The Logistician manages the life cycle from purchase to delivery at Overseas Offices. Serves as subject matter expert for supply chain. Ensures compliance with all export and import regulations. Analyzes and develops supply chain processes and continues to look for streamlining operations. In close consultation with the programs and country offices, liaises with the Programs to procure materials and supplies and ensure timely delivery at overseas offices. This includes packing and repacking of supplies and preparing them for shipment. The Logistician also takes the lead in the import of lab samples and other items into the US. Reports to the Supervisor, Contracts and Procurement and may provide additional support to other OO projects as needed. Due to travel requirements, Hostile Environment Awareness Training (HEAT) may be required.

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to The Carter Center on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines. All non-exempts employees must reside within the State of Georgia. The Carter Center reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
