Required Degree : A PhD in psychology or a related field by the appointment date.
Experience: The Psychology Department, Brigham Young University, invites applicants of any academic rank to fill a
full-time visiting teaching position in the Psychology Department to begin Fall Semester 2024. Applicants with expertise in social
psychology, health psychology, developmental psychology, behavioral neuroscience, or related areas are encouraged to apply. The teaching
load is 4 courses fall semester, 4 courses winter semester, and 2 courses either spring or summer terms. We are particularly interested in
candidates prepared to teach undergraduate courses in introductory psychology, social psychology, psychology of gender, multicultural
psychology, and writing within psychology. Our department values diversity, student mentoring, a collegial culture, and excellence in

Duties/Expectations : Successful candidates will show commitment to and excellence in teaching and
mentoring, have the ability to teach upper- and lower-level undergraduate classes, and engage in citizenship responsibilities in the
department, college, and university.
A full-time visiting position is a one-year appointment which is renewable annually, if the
Psychology department has a need, up to a maximum of three years. Relocation assistance of up to $2,500 is available for out-of-state
candidates.
