Research Specialist
Ted Satterthwaite and the Penn Lifespan Informatics and Neuroimaging Center (www.pennlinc.io) are recruiting a Research Specialist to lead a new effort that will synthesize available data from clinical trials of classic psychedelics, MDMA, and ketamine via a series of meta-analyses and systematic reviews. Responsibilities will include literature search, data organization, data analysis, and collaborating with a multi-institutional team of expert faculty. In addition to this project, responsibilities include additional administrative duties related to the operations of the center. Opportunities for data analysis, learning neuroimaging methods, and writing manuscripts abound. Previous team members in this role have published first-author manuscripts in top journals and gone on to top graduate programs in psychology, neuroscience, and medicine.
Qualifications
BA/BS degree and 0-1 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. The candidate must have a passion for science, superb interpersonal skills, and technical affinity. Preference of an educational background in Neuroscience/Psychology or with plans to pursue graduate work psychology, neuroscience, or combined MD/PhD programs. An interest in working directly with children, adolescents, and young adults affected by psychiatric symptoms is essential. While not required, experience with the statistical package R is a major asset. Above all, the applicant should demonstrate superb motivation, communication, organizational skills.
Background check required. Must pass Pennsylvania s Child Protective Services Act (also known as Act 73) background checks, within 30-90 days of employment. Position contingent on funding.
