As the Total Rewards Senior Manager at Bremer Bank you, you are a key Human Resources leader and subject matter expert in designing and executing Bremer’s total rewards program. This role reports to the Chief People & Culture Officer and is responsible for leading the design, implementation, administration, and communication of total rewards. This includes compensation, benefits and wellness. In this role you will also ensure compensation and benefits programs support the organization’s strategic objectives, attraction and retention of top talent, is in compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements while also focusing on our commitment to DEI initiatives and creating an inclusive culture.
A few of the key responsibilities include: Manages the total rewards function which includes a Compensation Analyst, Benefits Analyst and Benefits Administrator.
* Leads ongoing review and analysis of pay equity to ensure a fair and equitable compensation posture.
* Manages the design, administration, communication and compliance of compensation programs for executive and non-executives including base and incentive pay, market-based job evaluation, merit and other compensation programs.
* Manages all activities related to the delivery of benefits and wellness programs including health, dental, life, disability, time off and other programs.
* Prepares and presents materials to the Board Compensation Committee including preparation of agenda and associated documentation, analyses, proposals, proxy and CD&A information.
* Manages annual renewals and annual open enrollment process by planning, identifying and recommending changes/enhancements to benefit offerings and cost sharing as appropriate.
* Manage compliance requirements including FMLA, COBRA, HIPPA, ADA, 5500 filings and SAR, and audits.
* Manages relationships with benefit brokers, compensation consultants, advisors, TPAs, carriers and other vendors, ensuring high performance standards are met or exceeded. Periodically markets available services.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting/Finance or a related field or equivalent to equal a minimum of 4 years relevant Compensation, Benefits, Human Resources or Finance experience.
* Minimum 6+ years Compensation/Benefits/Human Resources/Finance experience in roles that have design and program development responsibility.
* Experience leading continuous improvement efforts related to process design, technology integration and effectiveness.
* Proven track record of strong business acumen, consultation and analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate data.
* Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, including Excel.
* Knowledge of all federal, state and local regulations and compliance requirements related to employee compensation and benefits, including leave legislation
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills in dealing with all levels of employees and management.
* Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), Certified Benefits Professional (CBP or CEBS) is a plus!
