Department of Bioengineering
Stanford Bioengineering is a dynamic and rapidly growing department within the School of Engineering and School of Medicine. For more than a decade, Stanford Bioengineering has sought to advance bioengineering as a fundamental engineering discipline grounded in basic sciences, powered by a unique set of engineering concepts and principles that is capable of realizing many diverse applications. The Department of Bioengineering and Skylar-Scott Laboratory are seeking a full-time Research Program Coordinator for The Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) HEART project at Stanford University. The Project leverages expertise in engineering, biochemistry, computer modeling, cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, biology, materials science with the goal to 3D bioprint a fully functional human heart for implantation into an adult pig. Responsibilities will include managing the day-to-day operations and administration for the project; coordinating research and interactions with the investigators and funding agency and the independent verification & validation (IV&V); the public presentation of material; communication with sponsors and research partners; drafting monthly financial and milestone reports, tracking and analyzing budget and spending, and performing other tasks and operational functions as assigned.
Your responsibilities include:
Oversee and administer research activities by evaluating academic programs, making recommendations that impact policies and programs, and coordinating and implementing changes.

Education & Experience (Required):
Bachelor’s degree and two years of relevant experience or combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
Education & Experience (Desired):
Master’s or doctoral degree in Bioengineering or Biomedical Sciences preferred. Program administration and/or research experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Required):
Demonstrated oral, written, and analytical skills, exhibiting fluency in area of specialization.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Desired):
Project management and/or research experience
Working Conditions:
May work extended hours, evenings or weekends.
Physical Requirements*:
Frequently stand/walk, sitting, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, perform desk-based computer tasks.

Pay Range:
The expected pay range for this position is $68,000 to $99,000 per annum.
