The opportunity:
As a member of the Department of Athletics, Physical Education, & Recreation, the Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach will assist the Director of Sports Performance with all facets of the program. Responsibilities include but are not limited to designing and instructing comprehensive and/or sport-specific strength and conditioning programs, ensuring facility and equipment maintenance, and teaching Physical Education courses as assigned.
The Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach will support the college’s and department’s mission and values, and must adhere to all institutional, Centennial Conference, and NCAA policies. This position requires working collaboratively and communicating effectively with student-athletes, coaches, and staff. Prioritization of student health, safety, and well-being is essential.
The Assistant Coach will also have other essential responsibilities within the Department, which will be assigned based on Departmental needs and/or candidate’s skills and experiences. Additional responsibilities may include serving in other roles—e.g. Event/Game Manager—and/or assisting various areas—e.g. Athletic Communications, Facilities/Operations, Recreation & Wellness, Equipment Room Operations, Student-Athlete Services, and the like—as assigned by athletic administration.
