This position will be placed on the College hourly rates scale, Grade 13 with a minimum starting salary of $24.94 per hour.

JOB SUMMARY
This position assumes responsibility for the advising of new and current students, develops/delivers services to help students define and reach educational goals, and provides support as needed in outreach activities to new and current students. Understands the needs of diverse students and is able to create an inclusive and safe environment for all students. It reports to the Senior Director of Advising and Retention.

The work is normally light work which requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Periodically, it requires standing for longer periods of time during presentations or fairs. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required:
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
College campus, direct contact with students, staff, faculty and the general public in classrooms, common areas, offices, campus environments and clinical site. Work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as office, meeting, and training rooms; use of safe workplace practices with office equipment; computers for data entry and word processing; avoidance of trips and falls; observance of fire and building safety regulations; observance of College policies; and observance traffic laws when/if driving a College vehicle.
