Job Summary:
Direct an effective and wide-ranging program of quantitative and qualitative research that supports decision making at all levels of the district and includes activities such as student outcomes and follow-up research, needs assessment, feasibility studies, cost-benefit analysis, policy analysis, survey research, focus groups, etc. Ensure research and evaluation methods are applied appropriately, and that data and reports released from the Institutional Research Office (IRO) are accurate.

Sedentary Work – Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. Positions in this class typically require talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions. Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards. Office environment. Little physical effort required.
Requirements
Research/analytics-oriented doctorate degree (Ph.D. preferred) from an accredited institution AND a minimum of (2) years of directly related higher education at the senior leadership-level as an executive director or vice president.
NOTE: Experience with the information technology tools used by the Institutional Research Office is highly desirable. This position requires the use of MS Windows on Windows-compatible computers. Major software tools include (listed in alphabetical order): Adobe Creative Suite including Acrobat; Banner; data visualization software platforms; qualitative analytics software platforms such as NVivo; quantitative analytics software platforms such as SPSS or R; Microsoft Office Suite, SQL, survey research professional software platforms such as Snap Surveys or Qualtrics, Web browsers and search engines; Workday.
