Position Highlights | This position reports to the Manager of Finance and Administration of Harshbarger-Mines Business Center. HMBC is a center that supports four academic departments and the School of Mining and Mineral Resources in the College of Engineering. This position plays a key role on the HMBC finance team responsible for a portfolio of 81 faculty members, 560 undergrad students, 150 graduate students, and active research projects whose FY22 expenditures exceeded $10M. This position will be responsible for assisting with the management of 2-3 departments supported by the business center/HMBC. The successful candidate will work under general guidance and is expected to have general knowledge of all business and human resources functions in an academic unit. This position will assist with unit finances, All Funds Budget process, and fiscal year end. The successful candidate will also assist the administrative office with faculty postings, start-up budgets, HR transactions for TAs, graders, preceptors, and other employee transactions as needed.
