Position Summary
The Coordinator will be responsible for:
* Planning, developing, and delivering timely and relevant high-quality training and learning experiences for professionals across the Student Success division.
* Leading curriculum development and implementation with Student Success teams.
* Coordinating and facilitating trainings that ensure team members’ current applications of emerging and dynamic technologies that support the monitoring and tracking of student success.
* Providing resources, feedback, modeling, and individualized coaching Student Success staff to help achieve strategic plans.
* Communicating effectively with all stakeholders within all stages of professional development from planning to reporting.
* Collaborating with an array of administrators and staff within Dallas College.
The Student Success Professional Development Coordinator is a highly engaging, student-centered leader responsible for creating and curating professional development programming and curriculum that ensures Student Success professionals are equipped with timely and relevant research-based practices that support student access, persistence, completion, transfer, and employment for over 80,000 Dallas College students.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
* Knowledge of the purpose of community colleges and the vision of Dallas College.
* Personal understanding and dedication to the Dallas College mission.
* Demonstrated ability to apply broad-based research-based teaching methods and adult learning strategies which underpin high-impact student success professional development.
* Demonstrated experience developing, delivering, tracking, and monitoring professional development participation and learner outcomes among various modalities.
* Demonstrated understanding of the principles of program evaluation and learner outcome assessment.
* Proficiency using quantitative and qualitative data to identify and address professional development needs leading to an improved student experience to and through Dallas College (entry, persistence, credential completion, transfer, and employment).
* Broad knowledge of internal and external resources available to support student success throughout the student experience.
* Demonstrated knowledge of effective strategies that build a culture of exceptional customer service.
* Familiarity with relevant national policies, practices and legislation that relates to college admissions, pathway development and support, and case management.
* Growth mindset and willingness to respond appropriately to issues in a dynamic rapidly changing educational/economic environment.
* Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion best practices and professional learning strategies to create a sense of belonging and address historic and systemic inequities for student success.
* Ability to work respectfully and collaboratively with stakeholders in a comparably diverse and complex work environment with a proven track record of enhancing professional development focusing on student development; pathway development; academic advising; case management or success coaching; diversity, equity and inclusion, and student success.
* Appreciation of shared governance and evidence of strong ability to work effectively and collaboratively with administration, faculty, students, staff, and other constituent groups and partners, both within and outside a college or university with diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.

* Demonstrated working knowledge and skills of technology as a tool for developing rich professional learning experiences, effective communications, as well as accessing and analyzing data for determining appropriate professional development support to staff.

Minimum Knowledge and Experience
* Bachelor’s Degree plus three (3) years’ experience in related field, i.e., education, teaching, learning and development, training and development, or student development. One (1) year of supervisory or team leadership experience.
* Current and valid Texas driver’s license required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* With leadership of the Director, Student Success Professional Development collaborate with other Student Success leaders to plan, coordinate, organize, schedule, and manage implementation of an annual Student Success Professional Development plan for a broad spectrum of Student Success Professionals, including Enrollment Management, Student Success, and Student Wellness and Support units.
* Collaborate with Academic, Workforce, The Center for Excellence in Teaching, and Learning other Student Success leaders to research, develop, and implement high-impact professional development programming that promote student pathway persistence, credential completion, transfer, and employment.
* Lead development and delivery of original curriculum, presentations, and modules that align with the College’s strategic plan and priorities building a culture of care, equity-minded engagement for historically marginalized and underserved students and communities, and exceptional customer service.
* Ensure facilitation of continuous and current training on emerging technologies that supports tracking and monitoring of student success outcomes.
* Assess and evaluate Student Success professional development for training effectiveness and evidence of team member learning achievement.
* Ensure that team members receive credit for completed professional development in collaboration with human resources.
* Contribute to an online repository of Student Success professional development resources and materials.
* Responsible for coordinating requests to participate in external professional development activities.
* Collaborate with external vendors and partners to coordinate specialized content and programming that align with professional development needs.
* Prepare reports, proposals, and recommendations for professional development programs; keep detailed records of assigned activities.
* Provide supplemental coaching support to staff by focusing and identifying individual and small group professional development needs as a follow-up to training.
* Provide guidance and support to improve service quality through a variety of methods in alignment with the curriculum, e.g., monitoring data, focused conversation, collaborative planning, review of action plans, and providing professional development.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
* Completes required Dallas College Professional Development training hours per academic year.
