Position Summary
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the University of Denver (DU) is building an academically and culturally diverse faculty and staff with a strong commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). We invite applications for a full-time non-tenure-track visiting faculty position, as Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor. The position is for the 2023-2024 academic year and begins on September 1, 2023. The appointment will be made for a nine-month position only.
The successful applicant will have a passion for teaching and a demonstrated ability to effectively teach undergraduate Electrical and Computer Engineering courses. The individual will be responsible for teaching introductory, and higher level undergraduate electrical and computer engineering courses. Duties include six quarter-based courses per year, advising students, and participating in department and university service. This position does not require research. We seek exceptional faculty who engage students inside and outside the classroom, deliver active and hands-on learning experiences; and authentically support our DEI mission.
Teaching faculty are expected to pursue excellence in the classroom using effective pedagogy, implementing inclusive practices, and demonstrating continuous improvement of teaching practices

While the Universitys administrative offices are open Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, faculty schedules vary from term to term and are based on courses taught, service commitments, and research agendas. The salary grade for the position is UC.
Salary Range:
The salary range for this position is $70,000 – $80,000.
