The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) would like to announce the availability of a full-time Residential Supervisor I position working in the Northeast Region for Northeast Residential Services. This position is responsible for the overall day to day management of the group home including supervision of all staff and individuals as assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive):
Schedule:
Full-Time, 40 hours per week
Tuesday – 1:00pm-9:30pm
Wednesday – 9:00am-5:30pm
Thursday – 6:00am-2:30pm
Friday – 12:00pm-8:30pm
Saturday – 9:00am-5:30pm
Days-Off: Sunday/Monday

ALL EMPLOYEES ARE PAID ON A BI-WEEKLY BASIS AND MUST HAVE DIRECT DEPOSIT.
This position is designated as an “EMERGENCY” Position in the Department of Developmental Service’s Emergency Plan. This means that whenever the Governor declares that the Commonwealth is in a state of emergency, you will be required to report to work.
This is a Civil Service position. If there is no Civil Service list for this title, employees appointed must take and pass the next Civil Service examination when administered.
MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS:
At least (A) three (3) years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, experience in counseling, guidance, teaching, or therapeutic services for individuals with developmental disabilities and/or chronic mental illness, of which at least (B) one (1) year must have been in either a supervisory or leadership capacity, or (C) any equivalent combination of the required experience and substitutions.
SUBSTITUTIONS:
– A Bachelor’s degree in social work, rehabilitation, psychology, sociology, human services, education of people with physical and/or learning disabilities may be substituted for two (2) years of the required (A) experience.
– A Master’s or higher degree social work, rehabilitation, psychology, sociology, human services or education of people with physical and/or learning disabilities may be substituted for the required (A) experience.
