The Manager, Government Reporting will be responsible for the calculation, analysis, and submission of one or more of the following pricing calculations on a timely basis: Average Manufacture Price (AMP), Best Price (BP), Public Health Services (PHS) pricing, Average Sales Price (ASP), Non-Federal Average Manufacturer Price (Non-FAMP), and Federal Ceiling Price (FCP). The Manager will interpret new government legislation and translate into methodology, business processes and systems impact.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Calculations and Submissions- Ensures submission of CMS, Federal and state program filings as well as execution of all components of government pricing. Provides clear communication to all participants including management, customers and government agencies.
Compliance- Identifies and resolves compliance problems, questions, or pricing requests received from other units of the company, customers, government regulatory agencies, etc. Maintains SOPs, SOX documentation, calculation policies and methodologies.
Interdepartmental Collaboration- Coordinates process of procuring existing and new data for inclusion into price calculations.
Strategic Partnering- Assists Associate Director in developing and executing recommendations in key strategic and tactical areas which impact pricing calculations to support long and short term business goals.
Project Management- Serves as a primary or secondary business lead or a supporting role on government pricing related projects. Function as an integral part of a team on government pricing related projects.
This position will be located at the East Hanover, NJ site and will not have the ability to be located remotely. Please note that this role would not provide relocation and only local candidates will be considered.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $107,200.00 and $160,800.00 per year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/23 through 12/31/23, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
Minimum requirements
What you’ll bring to the role:
• Bachelor’s degree required; degree area in Business, Finance or Accounting preferred
• 1+ years of experience in a Government Reporting or related role preferred (i.e. contracting, rebates, managed markets finance, etc.).
• Pharmaceutical industry experience.
• Working knowledge of government regulations pertaining to Federal and State programs preferred.
• Excellent analytical skills to calculate and submit accurate pricing and assess financial impact.
• Sound judgment, excellent written and oral communication skills to interact with all levels of internal and external customers.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple projects simultaneously, while meeting project deadlines.
• Excellent knowledge of PC based software programs with superior Excel skills and understanding of systems and systems interdependencies. Knowledge of database applications, SAP, Model N Revenue management system experience preferred.
• Ability to think strategically and support innovation and agility around proactive risks identification and mitigation.
• Ability to maintain professional demeanor even when confronted with stressful and/or potentially adversarial situations.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills; demonstrated ability to effectively interact and work collaboratively with multiple cross functional teams (e.g., IT, HR, Compliance, Security, Legal, Field associates).
• Ability to effectively and discreetly maintain and manage confidential information.
• Ability to present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner. Must be able to clearly document and communicate complex information; communicate business requirements and methodologies.
