Norris’ Group Care Programs provide treatment, educational, and therapeutic recreational services to male youth ages 8 through 17 and their families. Youth receive services related to mental health, emotional behavioral disorders, problematic sexualized behaviors, AODA, and trauma, including physical, sexual, emotional abuse or neglect. Norris is currently seeking an individual to fulfill the role of Hall Supervisor in our Group Care Program at our 900-acre Mukwonago campus. We are looking someone to work a Tuesday – Saturday shift, with hours working on both first and second shifts.
Under the supervision of a Hall Manager, the Hall Supervisor (HS) oversees the milieu and the day-to-day operations of an assigned hall in accordance with Norris policies, protocols, and procedures, licensing requirements, placing agency expectations and best practice standards. The Hall Supervisor ensures that hall services address youth needs according to their personalized plans (i.e., treatment, learning, etc.), helps employees implement trauma informed principles, uses and teaches de-escalation techniques, and serves as an overall resource for the hall and leadership team. The Hall Supervisor directly supervises an Assistant Supervisor, Lead Residential Care Specialist and Residential Care Specialists. The Hall Supervisor periodically serves in the Leader on Duty (LOD) role.
The Hall Supervisor ensures sensitivity to the ethnic and cultural diversity of youth, families and employees while effectively communicating and promoting the philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures of Norris. As a 24/7 treatment program, the Hall Supervisor position requires the individual to work a flexible schedule in order to support the needs of their hall and the program and understands that their schedule is subject to change to meet the program’s evolving needs at any time, including nights, weekends and holidays.
