Your opportunity:
Under the general direction of the Director, Alumni Programs and Services, the Manager, Alumni Engagement Programs is responsible for the strategic development, effective implementation, evaluation and measurement of innovative initiatives and communication strategies designed to increase alumni engagement and loyalty across a broad, diversified base of alumni across life-stage with a focus on integrating across demographic segments.. Informed by industry,program and survey data, demographic and market research insights, and a significant degree of knowledge of the University’s structure, mandate and strategic priorities; the incumbent develops and manages alumni programs, events, and communications. The objective of such programming is to build foundational groundwork for sustainable alumni engagement across an alumni’s lifecycle, extend the reach of U of T’s rich and extensive academic offerings, fully integrate with and support theUniversity’s fundraising goals, and elevate the University of Toronto’s brand and reputation.
The incumbent proactively collaborates with Divisional and DUA Alumni Relations and Development colleagues to develop programs and communications designed to increase alumni engagement across life stage, community and affinity including the 2SLGBTQ+ community and Families. The incumbent leads cross-functional teams to implement strategic, broad scale alumni programs and communications such as Alumni Reunion, and will collaborate with faculty and alumni volunteers including the UTAA and its committees to inform programming and build effective relationships. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: the strategic development, execution and measurement of programs designed to engage Established Alumni in the 35-55 age range, 2SLGBTQ+ Alumni, Alumni Families and Young Alumni; leads the strategic growth, continuous improvement and effective execution of U of T’s annual AlumniReunion; develops and deploys integrated, multi-channel communication plans in support of engagement initiatives and the alumni narrative; analyzes the success and impact of engagement initiatives and for adjusting strategy, resource allocation and budget as required based on results. The incumbent cultivates relationships with colleagues across the University in order to align central and divisional efforts, and provide leadership in encouraging and facilitating divisionally based Alumni engagement efforts.
