Job Summary/Basic Function:
The department of Psychology is accepting applications for a Temporary, part-time instructor responsible for teaching graduate courses in the School Psychology Program such as as psychological assessment, consultation, classroom interventions, and/or undergraduate courses such as general psychology, developmental psychology, applied behavior analysis, and related courses.

Job Description:
TEACHING AND PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Part-time faculty members are responsible for teaching graduate/undergraduate courses as assigned by the department; for preparing course syllabi, lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessment instruments; and for fostering student learning and professional development. Course load includes day and/or evening classes as scheduled.Part-time faculty members shall maintain a prorated number of office hours each week, at a minimum of twenty-five (25) minutes for each workload hour taught, at such days, times and locations as will accommodate the needs of the students.
This position requires in-person instruction on Millersville University’s campus and/or remote instruction. This position is contingent upon sufficient enrollments in assigned classes.
CONTINUING SCHOLARLY GROWTH AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT and SERVICE TO THE UNIVERSITY AND/OR COMMUNITY:In addition to teaching, there is an expectation for scholarship and service commensurate with the assignment.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:Other reasonable duties assigned within the faculty member’s field of competence.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:The Department of Psychology, in the College of Education and Human Services, is comprised of 14 full-time faculty members. All faculty hold doctoral degrees and represent many areas of expertise including developmental psychology, cognitive psychology, psychopathology, applied behavior analysis, social psychology, health psychology, learning and memory, neuroscience, school psychology, statistics and research design, and counseling and clinical psychology. The Department of Psychology is housed within the Susan P. Luek Hall serves nearly 400 undergraduate and 160 graduate students, and contains a clinic which is used for research and training purposes. The department has three graduate programs including an educational specialist degree in School Psychology and master’s degrees in school counseling, and in clinical psychology. The Clinical Psychology graduate program offers two tracks for obtaining a master’s degree in clinical psychology. Students have the option of taking a 42-credit track suitable for entering a doctoral program or a 60-credit track designed to meet the academic requirements for a licensed professional counselor.
