Summary:
The Program Specialist provides comprehensive course support for Phase 1, Year 2 MD courses. This position is responsible for managing courses using the medical school’s Canvas system and other database applications including Examsoft and One45. Participates in the preparation of the second year Integrated Schedule, prepares and posts course documents, manages room scheduling, regularly disseminates information to students and faculty. Prepares exams using the electronic exam management tools. Maintains course data and grades in Canvas and Banner and provides course statistics and reports. Oversees distribution of course and faculty evaluations. Organizes and manages Phase 1 Elective program in its entirety. Works in concert with the Phase 1, Year 1 and Doctoring coordinators to provide support for the Phase 1 Curriculum and leadership. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of directly related experience in a higher education and/or medical education environment. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Required Skills & Abilities:
*Demonstrated ability to organize large, ongoing projects with multiple deadlines.
*Demonstrated skills in MS Office Suite and proficiency with database software programs, along with the ability to learn new software applications.
*Ability to synthesize and analyze data.
*Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
*Demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills, along with the ability to interact with a diverse constituent population.
*Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
*Demonstrated ability to handle challenging situations with diplomacy and tact.

This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
