Position Summary:
The primary location of this position is the main Cullowhee, NC campus.
The primary purpose of this position is oversight of the process to acquire and receive materials requested by library selectors and academic departments and student employee supervision. This includes watching for duplication; selection of appropriate vendors; creating accurate order records; receipt of materials and claiming items not received; responding to issues within the unit; invoice processing and Accounts Payable procedures; correspondence with vendors regarding problems; and oversight of physical and security processing of acquired materials. Also includes supervision of student employees for the Acquisitions Unit.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this Position:
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from a four-year college or university and one year of experience in a library or archives and/or records management; or high school and five years experience in a library or archives and/or records management; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience in library services, office support, or related field.
Previous supervisory experience.
