Henry Ford Health System Hiring for Director, Best Choice Operations at Detroit, MI  Full Time

GENERAL SUMMARY: Responsible for 24/7 overall management of the Best Choice Staffing Office (BCSO). Functions include, but not limited to, hiring, and managing the staffing and scheduling of all Best Choice resources as well as the department staff. The Director is also responsible for overseeing the deployment of all temporary clinical staff to Henry Ford Health operating units, using various scheduling and communication applications. Provides oversight for the development, implementation, orientation, evaluation, and monitoring of work agreements, as well as continued evaluation of daily operations. Identifies opportunities to optimize the workforce efficiently and effectively in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of the organization, including all areas across the health system with labor expenses.

• Advanced knowledge, understanding of, and demonstrated experience applying patient logistics concepts.
• Expert analytical/technical/facilitative and process improvement skills and knowledge.
• In-depth understanding of human relations, group dynamics, change theory, and improvement methodologies.
• Expertise in management principles, techniques, and problem-solving methodologies.
• Skilled at managing large, complex assignments simultaneously with potentially conflicting priorities and deadlines.
• Adept at consulting and working collaboratively with a variety of individuals such as executive leaders and front-line staff.
• Expert leadership/mentoring skills.
• Professional interpersonal skills: able to communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff across the System and outside the organization.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to teach complex technical/analytical concepts to all staff.
• Able to represent Henry Ford Health at National conferences, meetings, and events.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
