Advertised Job Summary:
Provides administrative support to the director and to the School of Information Science including calendar and travel coordination. This person will serve as the point of first contact in the office and phone as well as support the director of the program. Prepares purchase requisitions, payment requests, travel, grant and other documents requested by the Director of the iSchool. Uses university purchasing card within the established limits of provides VISA statements and receipts to the college’s purchasing card coordinator in a timely fashion. Organize school events by coordinating guests lists, food service, venue rentals, etc. Course scheduling assistance to include proofing and entering information into Registrar system. Responsible for requesting and monitoring course changes throughout the semester.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years related experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services within an academic setting; or equivalency.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prefer knowledge of USC policies and procedures. Prefer proficiency in DataWarehouse, Banner, USCeRA, and other systems currently in use at USC.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ability to coordinate administrative functions despite frequent interruptions. Knowledge of principles of modern office practices, procedures and equipment. Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office programs and online university systems.
