Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Research Teaching Specialist IV in Pediatric Population Science at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey.
Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, Christina Amaro, PhD, the purpose of the Research Teaching Specialist-IV (RTS-IV) position is to support research on improving health outcomes and healthcare delivery for children, adolescents, and families impacted by pediatric cancer and sickle cell disease. Current lab projects include understanding adolescents, caregivers, and community providers’ preferences for a web-based psychosocial intervention for adolescent siblings of youth with cancer as well as examining family adjustment to pediatric sickle cell disease. The RTS-IV will be involved in highly specialized and technical research within the lab, such as recruiting participants, conducting qualitative interviews and data collection, maintaining databases, and supporting dissemination of research findings.
