· Key responsibilities include:
o Instructional Planning and Delivery
§ Develop standards-based unit plans and daily lesson plans.
§ Design and deliver engaging, rigorous, well-planned lessons.
§ Design and implement assessments that are aligned with daily objectives.
§ Use data to adjust short- and long-term plans in order to meet students’ learning needs.
o Constant Learning
§ Collaborate with grade level teams and coaches to seek feedback in the spirit of continuous improvement.
§ Reflect on instructional practices to meet individual student learning goals.
§ Actively participate in professional development, grade level planning, and coaching meetings.
o School Culture Alignment
§ Believe deeply in the vision and beliefs of SOAR
§ Exemplify the SOAR habits
§ Establish and maintain relationships with students and families
§ Approach practice with a sense of urgency to maximize instructional time
§ Establish and maintain high expectations for student work
§ Establish an active and engaging classroom
o Additional Responsibilities
§ Communicate regularly with families about academic progress and behavior
§ Maintain accurate records, grade book, and data tracking systems
§ Administer and track student assessments
· Qualifications
o Bachelor’s degree
o Commitment to and experience with youth of various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 – $88,000.00 per year
