As the leader of FinTech Product Management, you’ll get to lead a dynamic team of FinTech product managers whose scope of work spans large-scale technology solutions to small optimizations, everything from developing long-range product roadmaps to 2-week sprint planning. Your team’s charter is to enable the success of Zillow’s products and corporate finance by providing durable, scalable, reliable, and compliant FinTech solutions.
Work in lock-step with FinTech engineering leaders to build, develop, and guide high-performing teams to deliver a portfolio of technology solutions that include a wide range of 3rd party SaaS products and custom-developed applications, helping to transform the shared services technology ecosystem.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to help shape and deliver a FinTech product strategy, in partnership with finance, business, and engineering leaders, that results in the implementation of technology and automation that promotes sustainable growth.
As a Product Leader, you are responsible for connecting your customer’s processes and needs to the broader company strategy and objectives. Collaboration is a key ingredient for success, you must be able to negotiate and coordinate key dependencies across multiple teams to ensure a successful product launch.
Develop systems and processes that allow your team to provide product consultancy and recommendations to your business partners, helping them to better understand trade-offs, interoperability, and maintenance costs, enabling them to pursue the right strategies that will help them meet their business objectives.
This role can be located anywhere in the U.S.
Primary responsibilities include:
Strategically allocate resources to their highest and best uses using data-driven prioritization
Foster a strong product culture that promotes innovation and accountability to achieve results
Provide regular mentoring, coaching, and development to a growing team of product managers
Optimize product routines that allow the product team to communicate progress to program leaders and other key partners, via product briefs, status updates, demos, and reporting
Develop product frameworks that support the evaluation of trade-offs and risks as new business opportunities or issues arise
Collaborate with key Finance and business leaders to translate functional challenges and gaps, into strategic product roadmaps
Establish KPIs and OKRs for the team, leverage quantitative and qualitative data to define opportunity size, value creation, and understand root causes to help inform product planning
This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role.
In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City and Washington the standard base pay range for this role is $171,700.00 – $274,300.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City and Washington and may not be applicable to other locations.
In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.
5+ years as a Product leader, leading product managers, operating in an Agile development environment, working across the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
6+ years’ FinTech product management experience working with enterprise financial applications (examples Workday, PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP), implementing large-scale 3rd party SaaS products and solutions
Proven track record leading cross-functional teams to deliver quality work, on time, within budget
Experience guiding prioritization of large bodies of work able to translate operational plans and objectives into technical requirements
Conversant in FinTech systems design and finance operations such as billing, payments, ecommerce, accounting, procure-to-pay, and SOX compliance
A degree in finance, accounting designations, or functional experience supporting payments, tax, treasury, procurement or financial reporting processes, is a plus.
