About the CDM Major, HASS Division, and UIC
The Culture & Design Management (CDM) major aims to nurture global experts
and entrepreneurs who can plan, produce, and distribute cultural contents through a convergence among culture, design, technology, and
management. The interdisciplinary curriculum of CDM prepares students with competitive knowledge and skills required to excel in cultural
industries. The graduates of CDM may pursue careers in three primary fields: 1) design & service planner, design consultant, or cultural
contents creator in major culture-based companies, 2) creative director, game producer, or 3D artist in IT firms, and 3) brand marketer or
art curator. The flexible and integrated nature of the CDM curriculum allows students to choose their long-term goals as managers,
designers, or entrepreneurs.
The Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (HASS) Division of the UIC focuses on interdisciplinary approaches
covering various fields of interest from regional studies, art, business, social sciences, and humanities. Students not only specialize in
their respective fields, but also learn to explore and utilize the broader perspectives and framework that are necessary in today’s
workplaces, whether it be the public sector, multinational corporations, NGOs, or academia.
The Underwood International College of Yonsei University is a highly competitive program at South
Korea’s most prestigious private university. UIC combines the intimate atmosphere of a liberal arts college with the resources of a
major research university. All instruction is in English, and the student body consists of native and near-native speakers of English drawn
