Job Summary/Basic Function
To serve as assistant to the Dean, College of Health, Education, and Human Services, using discretion and independent judgment in conceptualizing, planning, and directing activities related to office management and academic support.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and two years of related experience, OR an Associate’s degree and four years of related experience, OR high school diploma or GED and 6 years of related experience in a professional office. Documented experience with event planning and ability to multi-task. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficiency in MS Office required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Banner9, PeopleAdmin, and/or WingsExpress is preferred. Experience working with diverse population and working in a higher education institution preferred.
Essential Functions and percent of time
Manage and organize all aspects of travel, calendar, meetings, conferences, and correspondence for the Dean and college officials in fulfillment of college and university missions.
Direct and lead the college in the collection and submission of data for the college annual report. Responsible for content, layout, and editing of report.
Supervise student workers and/or graduate assistants by managing their workloads and timecards.
Working Conditions
Standard office environment; may be required to work remotely on occasion. May be required to work weeknights and weekends for special events such as college fundraisers and/or graduation events.
