Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Associate Dean for Engagement, Diversity & Inclusive Excellence, the Assistant Director for Student Organizations and Leadership Development is an integral part of the Student Engagement team. The incumbent is responsible for managing, training and advising more than 80 university student organizations; devising and implementing leadership development opportunities for students; managing the student allocations funding and accounting process; and providing support for student engagement software and events.
Job Summary:
Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree in college student affairs, higher education or related field and professional experience working with college students at an institution of higher education. (Relevant graduate assistant/associate experience may be considered.)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in student activities and leadership at an institution of higher education; experience teaching a leadership course; experience with organization management software; and experience with webpage development/maintenance and social media platforms.
