Human Resources Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties for our 200(+) employee population located in the states we do business in from our corporate headquarters location in Deer Park, NY. This position carries out generalist responsibilities for benefits administration, HRIS database management and reporting, and will support Payroll as needed.

Responsibilities include:

• Administer various health and welfare plans and procedures; assists in the development andnimplementation of open enrollment and other benefits programs including 401K retirement plans
• Ensure accuracy of HRIS employee data including updating employee information, tracking and managing changes including transfers, promotions, etc.
• Backup for payroll processing; maintain and assist with ADP Workforce Now payroll database
• Conduct New Hire Orientation; collects onboarding documentation and ordering business cards, apparel for all new hires
• Audit personnel files andnonboarding/offboarding checklists for completeness and accuracy
• Maintain company intranet internally for Human Resources Dept. by adding new hires, special announcements and other HR information
• Assist with presentations and participates in administrative and other staff meetings
• Run reports for month end processes, i.e., paid time off balance information and census data
• Assist with special projects or other departmental/company business initiatives as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent professional experience
• 3(+) years of experience in Human Resources or related field
• ADP Workforce Now or similar HRIS experience is required
• Advanced proficiency in all Microsoft applications, including Excel and Word
• Union experience a plus

Pay: $55,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
