Position Summary
University Human Resources is seeking an experienced customer focused professional to
administer its employee health insurance, life insurance, and other optional benefits. Duties include: communicating information about the
plans; providing counseling to employees on plan selections; coordinating the submission of benefit paperwork; updating information in the
internal human resources information system; auditing, reconciling, and correcting plan records; serving as a liaison with the Office of
Health Benefits at the Department of Human Resource Manager and other plan vendors; maintaining and updating process and procedures manuals;
coordinating open enrollment periods; and conducting new employee orientations. Incumbent also serves as a back-up for UHR staff members
administering additional employee benefits including the Virginia Retirement System plans, the William & Mary retirement plans, and
disability leave.
Required Qualifications
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources
or business; or an equivalent combination of related education, training and/or experience.
