Summary
Maintains institutional control of the compliance system as it relates to admissions, academic advising, and financial aid for the Western New Mexico University athletics department.
Duties
Education/Background
Bachelor’s degree in related field with experience working in student services area required. Experience as a collegiate athlete or working in a collegiate athletic department preferred. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
Job Knowledge
Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Must be able to handle multiple deadlines and maintain accuracy. Must be sensitive to cultural differences within the University and community. Must have demonstrated knowledge of interaction with media outlets. Fluent in Microsoft Office. Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions/ Physical Demands (With or Without Accommodations)
Normal office, athletics environment, and continually changing sports venues. May be required to lift, push, and pull office equipment and materials. Visual acuity to read information from computer screens, forms and other printed materials and information. Able to speak (enunciate) clearly in conversation and general communication. Hearing ability for verbal communication/conversation /responses via telephone, telephone systems, and face-to-face interactions. Manual dexterity for typing, writing, standing, and reaching, flexibility, body movement for bending, crouching, walking, kneeling, and prolonged sitting. Must be able to visually and auditorily assess situations to insure health and safety. Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. Hours may vary depending on sporting events and needs. May be required to work additional hours or days depending on circumstances.

Salary Range: $38,563.00 annually
