Position Summary:
The primary location of this position is the main Cullowhee, NC campus.
The director will be primarily responsible for the management and facilitation of student-athlete development programming which focuses on student-athlete personal development, professional development, and career readiness. The successful candidate will also assist with student-athlete community outreach initiatives and support the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee activities. This position is also responsible for the management of campus and community relationships specific to volunteer opportunities for student-athletes. Other job responsibilities will include participation and execution of various trainings to strengthen engagement in key areas such as career readiness and life skill development. Position requires the ability to demonstrate effective communication and organizational skills, interact effectively with student-athletes, coaches, recruits, faculty, and staff, and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and previous experience in academic advising, career planning, and/or relevant student support service.
