Position Summary:
This position is an on-site position on our Cullowhee campus.
Counseling & Psychological Services invites a licensed individual to join our team that provides direct clinical services to students. These services include individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, clinical consultations, and outreach programming. Additionally, the counselor will provide supervision of doctoral interns and of master’s level practicum students.
There is an option to select a 40-hour/week schedule for 10 months (August-May) or a 34-hour/week schedule for 12 months. This position is considered full-time and is eligible for benefits.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required masters degree in counseling or social work or doctoral degree in counseling or clinical psychology.
Must be licensed or license eligible in North Carolina as a LCMHC or LCSW or be license eligible in with completed doctoral degree in psychology.
Must have experience working in university counseling center or with college-aged population in outpatient setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
At least two years of experience providing clinical services in a university counseling center.
Additional expertise in at least one other area including, but not limited to working with trauma, DBT, EMDR or anxiety.
