Job Description:

This position provides part time, grant-funded administrative support to the Deputy Purchasing Agent needed to administer the college’s implementation of the institutional portion, HEERF (Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds, US Department of Education) in response to the COVID pandemic. This position will support the effective administration and tracking of contracts and purchasing related to HEERF funds; coordinate operations with other departments and offices to ensure effective and timely services; provide technical assistance to WCC HEERF project directors as needed in this process to limit errors and maximize compliance with federal grant, county, college and SUNY requirements; prepare budget and fiscal and status reports; and assist with grant documentation requirements. The incumbent will prepare budgets, other fiscal reports, and monitor & track the workflow related to HEERF procurement and purchasing. The incumbent will also use computer applications and other automated systems such as spreadsheets, word processing, calendar, email and database software in performing work assignments.

Requirements:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience in the field of education, educational administration, or analyses of customer needs, program operations, marketing or customer services required. Good knowledge of funding resources for educational programs; ability to communicate, both orally and in writing; and the ability to use computer applications such as spreadsheets, word processing, email and database software, etc.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Paralegal and or fiscal management experience a plus.

POSITION EFFECTIVE: The position will remain open until filled.

HOURLY RATE OF PAY: $40.97 per hour. No benefits. This position is fully grant funded.
