Summary of Duties:
The Scholarship Coordinator in the Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture is responsible for the administration and management of applications, awarding and monitoring of student scholarship funds for the college, schools, departments, centers, institutes, and programs. The incumbent coordinates named chair/professor positions and collaborates with the Dean to renew or appointment new holders of the title. The scholarship coordinator is responsible for the stewardship duties associated with scholarships and named professors funds by ensuring the appropriate thank you letters and reports are provided in a timely manner.
This position must exercise independent judgment and initiative in performing these duties as well as demonstrate a high level of confidentiality. This position serves as a general resource for development to the administrative leadership, faculty and staff associated with VCEA.
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to area of specialization and three (3) years of experience directly related to the specialty area. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in coordinating academic programs.
Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience with Microsoft office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with persons of varying levels of responsibility and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in budget preparation, management, and reporting.
Experience with utilizing or implementing an electronic records management system or other complex student records system.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience working with the public or in a customer ervice setting.

Monthly Salary: $4,061.90-$5,500 | In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position. Successful candidates typically begin up to mid-point of the salary range. For additional information, please review WSU’s Administrative Professional Compensation.
