Summary of Duties:
This position is part of the Enterprise Systems (ES) team, which is part of Information Technology Services (ITS) and serves the entire WSU system.
This position, under general supervision, is responsible for application development and technical consultation of enterprise applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for technical development, debugging, testing, documentation, communication, and implementation of system changes. They will consult with customers and subject matter experts to deliver successful business outcomes to end users.
This position utilizes a variety of technical tools to troubleshoot and deliver solutions. They are responsible for understanding data classification and security requirements regarding technical development and enterprise systems.
This position will develop and implement software and technologies that integrate with other systems and system software. They will adopt and train in new technologies and standards as they become available.
They will share rotating 24 hour on-call responsibility with peers.
This position is based on the WSU Pullman campus and is eligible for a blend of in-office and remote work. After an initial training and onboarding period, this position may be eligible for 100% remote work. Details will be discussed during the recruitment process, and are dependent on management’s assessment of the candidate.

Required Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in a related technology field OR equivalent combination of education/experience totaling four (4) years.
Experience programming with an Object Oriented or Procedural programming language.
Experience with relational database systems and a working knowledge of structured query language (SQL).
Effective interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate successfully with a wide variety of people.
Effective communications skills.
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in CS/MIS.
Experience with SOAP and/or Restful web services.
Experience with PeopleSoft/People Code

Monthly Salary: Range 04iT | $6,147 to $8,266 (Step A – M) | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28. WSU offers a comprehensive benefits package which includes: paid sick and vacation leave; paid holidays; medical, dental, life and disability insurance package for employees and dependents; retirement; deferred compensation and optional supplemental retirement accounts.
