Are you good at organization, travel arrangements, budget and purchasing tracking and providing customer service? The College of Arts and Sciences has an Administrative Specialist position to consider!
Summary of Duties
The Administrative Specialist performs a variety of complex secretarial duties in support of College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) faculty, students, staff, and external constituents.
Duties include travel, purchasing, and related fiscal tasks, serves as main point of contact for the Multimedia Classroom (VMMC) building, provides program leader and general faculty support for several programs, and office support. Other projects as requested.
Required Qualifications
High school graduation or equivalent, AND two years of increasingly responsible office experience requiring keyboarding or typing; OR equivalent education/experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree.
Experience in higher education environment.
Experience with travel arrangements in a work environment.
Budgetary and/or fiscal experience.
Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with Workday finance software.
Essential Duties
50% Travel support.
20% Purchasing and budget support.
25% Reception duties and administrative support.
5% Other duties as assigned.

Hybrid work schedule and flexible scheduling may be an option after the initial training period.
Monthly Salary:
$2,890/month-$3,024/month ($34,680/year-$36,288/year) Range R035. The full range of this classification is $2,890/month to $3,821/month, Step A-M. Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
