Ideal candidate will make decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative and have an important impact on extensive A/V engineering activities for new attractions and theme park lands
Initiate and maintain extensive contact with key engineers, audio media designers, and acousticians, emphasizing persuasion and collaborative discussion of critical issues.
Ability to supervise an engineering team through all phases of design, production, installation, testing, and documentation, translating creative and functional requirements into design specifications.
Know the latest with global audio, acoustic, and video technology trends.
Ensure conformance to A/V department standards and procedures, providing personnel and schedule planning for estimating activities.
Develop specifications, test plans, and identify A/V interface requirements.
Review and authorize detailed drawings, collect vendor equipment specifications, and handle interface requirements between controls and ride elements.
Direct troubleshooting efforts, supervise field technicians, and verify A/V performance against requirements.
Identify and collect vendor electronic equipment specifications.
Develop risk analysis and inform management, as required.
Supervise Vendor design activities and resolve technical conflicts between Vendors
Design and manage detailed interface requirements between controls and ride mechanical and audio elements.
Direct troubleshooting of first article assembly problems as required.
Provide electronic contractor support and verification of first article assembly and bench testing, as required.
Supervise field technicians and support personnel as required.
Review contractor manufacturing and quality documentation against contract technical requirements
Bachelors degree in Electronics Engineering, Audio Video Engineering, or a related field.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office products.
Knowledge of relevant industry standards.
Minimum eight years of engineering experience with responsibility for analysis, design, and developing scopes of work, budgets, schedules, and resource plans.
Strong hardware knowledge and hands-on field installation experience.
Ability to work independently, integrate inputs from diverse team members, and adapt to changing requirements.
Willingness to travel, including extended stays, with potential relocation for 6 to 12 months on some projects.
Clear and concise communication skills, both verbal and written.
