Full Job Description
This position is a full time position.
We are looking for an Accountant to perform responsibilities including, but not limited to, preparation of financial statements, reconciling bank statements, preparing payroll and calculating tax payments. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with bookkeeping and a flair for spotting numerical mistakes.
Responsibilities

• Process Payroll for multiple clients – must have experience with “Live” payrolls, after the fact payrolls, payroll tax deposits and payroll reports due quarterly and annually
• Bookkeeping – will have monthly, quarterly, and annual bookkeeping clients
• Financial Statement preparation
• Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
• Reconcile general ledger accounts
• Ensure timely payroll tax payments
• Compute taxes and prepare payroll tax returns
• Review balance sheets and profit/loss statements

Skills Needed

• Work experience as an Accountant
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Hands-on experience with accounting software like QuickBooks
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Experience with general ledger functions
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
• BS or BBA in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree – or extensive experience in Accounting/Bookkeeping
• Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus but not required
