What you’ll be doing…
You will be joining Verizon Business Group’s Product Organization as a critical member of the Strategic Initiatives team. This team is responsible for the creation and lifecycle management of wireless and wireline products for all segments including Global Enterprise, Business Markets, Public Sector, and Wholesale. This team enables and ensures all the critical functions are cared for within the business. To join this team, you could be an automation wizard and efficiency expert – someone that excels in automating complicated workflows and enjoys keeping a vast and complex organization moving forward at great speed.
In this role, you will help identify, prioritize, structure, and lead multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. You may not know all the answers, but you have a proven track record of working through difficult challenges by independently researching potential directions, collaborating with others, and iterating to find solutions. You are an unstoppable force while working through challenges, establishing and improving the organization as you go. You will work with all levels of management, including executive leadership so strong communication skills are required. In addition, you will work to establish strong partnerships both within the product organization and with our partner organizations such as Finance, Network, IT, Marketing, Sales, and Strategy. Maybe you are a top-notch visual communicator and information designer – able to transform complex ideas into compelling infographics and executive presentations. Or perhaps you can crunch financials with the best of them – juggling expenses, capital and revenue with ease.
In this role responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Working to accelerate the simplification and evolution of our portfolio, drive innovation, and promote a 360-degree lifecycle management to ensure we deliver segment-focused solutions that enable profitability to Verizon and best-in-class products and solutions to our customers.

Leading conception, scope definition, and execution of various types of strategic and operational product evolution initiatives, ranging from corporate and operational strategy to process improvement
-
Driving business requirements, identifying gaps, and designing effective solutions taking a customer centric approach
-
Acting as organizational program GTS lead to include the development and implementation of stop sale strategy
-
Partnering with GTS and cross functional teams to work on end of sale, end of service and end of life of legacy products
-
Understanding and researching Ordering Systems, Billing, Quoting, SFOs to create an end to end mapping of product stage gates in order to support end of sale, end service and end of life for legacy products

Collaborating with engineering, design, and other teams to propose and define product requirements, specifications for new features and functionalities, ensuring a user-centered and innovative approach.

Working with limited direction, usually within a complex and often ambiguous environment, to drive rigorous, fact-based recommendations to senior management, other executive, functional, or regional management while supporting syndication with stakeholders across the organization.

Driving communication with multiple stakeholder groups to attain alignment with the program’s objectives

Providing senior leadership and functional unit management with updates on project status, key metrics, issues, and risks
-
Developing detailed project plans to monitor and track cross functional progress and providing project management of cross-tower organizational initiatives and action registers; coordinating resources to achieve project goals.

Gathering, understanding and analyzing data and drivers impacting key metrics and outcomes and provide fact based recommendations to stakeholders

Developing strong collaborative relationships with executive-level staff in order to assess and meet the needs of the business.
What we’re looking for…
You’ll need to have:
-
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
-
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
-
Experience in Product Management or Technical Consulting.
-
Experience with the VBG Wireline product portfolio.
-
Experience in Data science and analytics..
-
Knowledge of VRD, Vision and other billing systems or ability to learn quickly.
-
Knowledge of Data Warehouse domains with ability to extract data utilizing advanced queries (Postgres, Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata.)
Even better if you have one or more of the following:

MBA, PMP, and/or VLSS experience

Strong analytical, documentation & presentation skills with ability to independently determine key findings from complex data sets.

Knowledge of Verizon Billing, Quoting, ,Ordering Processes, SFO’s, SPOs.

Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and properly set expectations across several cross functional teams

Business Products Lifecycle Management experience.

Knowledge of Channel Sales Partners.

Possess financial acumen.

Strong project management skills.

Experience in large integration programs.

Experience in the development and measurements of KPI’s.

Experience working in a tier-1 management consulting organization.

Experience in telecom or related industries

Ability to drive results at all levels, regardless of reporting structures.

Proven record for managing multiple simultaneous projects on time and budget.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills, including ability to create presentations using MS PowerPoint and experience presenting to all levels of an organization.

Outstanding quantitative and analytical skills, including ability to conduct outside/inside research, and drive data analysis and modeling through MS Excel and data visualization through Tableau.

A focus on strategy, operational processes, and customer experience.

Proven record of performance and trusted professional credibility.

Experienced team leader with proven facilitation, change management, and problem solving experience.

Comfort in working up and across the organization – working with senior staff members and front line employees.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island or Washington work location, the compensation range for this position is between $108,000.00 and $200,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
